Dominique Sharpton Is The Eldest Daughter Of The Sharpton Family

Dominique Sharpton is the eldest daughter of Al Sharpton and Kathy Jordan. 

She has followed her father's path and has been involved in activism and works toward empowering the younger generation to continue civil rights activism. 

She studied Theatre and Communications at Temple University in 2004 and graduated 3 years later in 2007. She also went to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for a year.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2021. She has been the board president of Education for A Better America for over five years from 2012 to 2017. 

The eldest daughter of the activist is also an actress who has been in the industry since 1991. She has been working in the entertainment industry for about 31 years. 

She has worked in some films, musicals, and commercials throughout her career, such as Showboat.

She is known as a contestant on the show Claim to Fame and has been credited for her work on IMDb. She is the part of the series where she has to live with other contestants in the same house and compete to win a prize. 

Unfortunately, she was not able to take the prize home and was eliminated. She was able to gain fame from her appearance on the show and gain some fan following.

She joined the organization in 2008 and currently works as the membership director.

She has been a major reason for the increase in NAN membership which has led to expansion, and she has worked hard to empower the youth as well as encourage them to continue activism.

Ashley Sharpton Is A Famous Activist

The youngest daughter of the talk show host Al Sharpton is Ashley Sharpton who is also a famous activist. 

Ashley went to Hampton University to study sociology and graduated there in 2010. She then completed her education at Saint Francis College in Communications and Media Studies in 2014 as per LinkedIn.

She previously worked as the social media manager of Massenburg Media in 2013 for ten months. 

She founded Sharpton Entertainment LLC in 2006 and has been the company's president for over 15 years. She also works in Sharpton Media as an archiver for more than eleven years. 

She is currently the Youth Move Leader and the Huddle Coordinator of the National Action Network. 

Ashley was elected as the youth leader for many years in the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ and has followed in her father's footsteps. She works with her father in his organization and has been an activist for a long time. 

She also worked as a social media commentator for the State of the Union under Obama for about two years from 2014 to 2016.

She has been working in several movements and is part of many social works.

Al Sharpton Has Three Siblings

The civil rights activist Al Sharpton is not the only child and has three siblings.

Al has a brother Kenneth Sharpton Glasgow and two sisters Cheryl Sharpton and Ernestine Sharpton.

He grew up with his siblings, his father, Alfred Charles Sharpton Sr, and his mother Ada Richards. He and his siblings grew up extremely religious.

When he was about nine years old, his father, Alfred, left him and all his siblings so that he could have a relationship with her half-sister.
It was difficult for his mother to feed and clothe him and his siblings.

Their mother has such a low income that they were qualified for welfare and had to move from middle-class Hollis to public housing locations in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

Kenneth is the half-brother of the activist. He is the founder of the ministry of The Ordinary People Society and worked so that he could restore the voting rights of people who have criminal convictions.

The grandson of the civil rights activist Al Sharpton is Marcus Al Sharpton-Bright.

There is a picture of Al holding the newborn baby after he was born in the hospital in 2018.

The first child of Dominique and her husband is currently four years old and he can sometimes be seen in the social media of the Reverend Al Sharpton.

On August 3, 2019, the star of Loudmouth tweeted a photo with his daughters and his grandson. His eldest daughter Dominique was holding Marcus in her arms.

The grandson has posted many photos with his grandfather Al. He wished Al his birthday on October 17, 2022, and stated that he loved his bops.

The 4-year-old and the politician were present at the 2022 National Action Network at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in New York City.

Sharpton and his grandson visited Miami, Florida, in 2022, and they went on a late-night walk on April 5.

The talk show host seems close to his grandson Marcus and is seen hanging out with him whenever he gets the chance.
