The oldest son, Garrett suffered from severe drug addiction and lost his life due to a heroin overdose while he was in Lehigh University. The Reid family mourned the loss of their oldest and it was a hard time for coach Andy. Moreover, the trouble didn’t stop there. His other son Britt, after a couple of years of his brother’s death, was arrested and convicted in a gun and drug-related offense.
