Marcela Whaley allegedly paid the two men to sexually attack and murder Sanchez after he left her to start dating another woman, whom she had dated for about six years.
Whaley was last seen attempting to enter the United States from Mexico on January 25. She was expelled by US Border Patrol authorities after she was misled about being a US citizen.
